From the supplier: Legislation introduced by Senator James M. Jeffords that would eliminate lifetime caps on health insurance benefits could cause employers to drop such benefits. Jeffords contends that lifetime caps are unfair to consumers, and their levels have not kept pace with inflation. However, health insurers and employers feel that removing lifetime caps from health insurance benefits would significantly raise an employer's costs and risks.
